We should concentrate on beauty - there is too much ugliness in the world today - but there is so much beauty too, and what is more beautiful than the human body?

Live Art event

Just held a "Live Art" event in my studio with 2 artists drawing a nude model whilst folk could come and watch. To help visitors find my studio I put signs out on the small roundabouts leading to our urbanisation as well as in the street outside etc. Almost immediately I saw a police car looking at the signs, then turned up at our gate. - (I thought they'd tell me off about the signs.) One guy & one female cop came in - both very friendly - and chatted and looked at my work, met the model etc. I asked if there was a problem and they said not at all, but enjoyed looking at the art and wished me well. Teaching kids about natural things...

I had a few people contact me to say they had gone to visit my exhibition & found it closed when it shouldn't have been. So I decided to take easel, canvas & paints & spend time painting plein aire outside the exhibition cave so I could make sure it would stay open. After a while a group of a dozen or so young girls from the local primary school turned up to watch & visit my exhibition - mainly nudes of course. The teacher told me he'd brought the boys up the day before who all avidly took photos of my nude pictures & so he had to bring the girls to see the nudes too as it was necessary for them to appreciate natural things!

My solo exhibition

Throughout the month of March I am the solo exhibiting artist in our town's exhibition halls, the "Sala Mengolero". A unique setting in an old cave village, the exhibition is sponsored by our town hall. I am exhibiting around 60 art pieces - nudes & town scenes in acrylics, pastels, oils, pencil & gouache as well as 10 mixed photographs. The town hall provided wine and nibbles for the opening when we had some 80 people through and the organisers said that was more than they'd seen. It is open for the rest of the month till 30th, so if anyone is in this part of the world before then I'll be pleased to meet with you at the caves.

Was looking at some of your pic's & was thinking some part of Spain by the side of the road.

Had FAB holiday March 1980 last with M & D & late sister.

No kids now at below hotel. I did go in the pool.

Back then was not an issue for a kid to drink a local lagers.

So I looked through and I come only to the conclusion that you doing really great work. Lovely natural looking models in natural destinations. Some artwork that is great between. A talented artist in more than one way. :D
